Outpatient Mental Health Treatment at Renewed Light

There are many types of treatment programs available for mental health treatment. Here at Renewed Light, we offer outpatient mental health treatment at our mental health facility in NJ.

Outpatient treatment is highly beneficial to patients due to their ability to maintain their daily routines.

Additional Benefits of Our Outpatient Treatment Programs Include:
  • Allows patients to maintain a connection to their support network outside of the treatment facility
  • Enables patients to go to work, school, or otherwise manage their daily responsibilities
  • Provides patients with opportunities to learn new coping skills that they can practice in their everyday life

Outpatient treatment requires less of a time commitment than inpatient treatment, freeing patients up to focus on their recovery. Despite spending less time in treatment, outpatient programs are highly effective.

Additionally, our outpatient programs require patients to attend treatment, at our mental health facility in NJ, at least three times per week, for three hours a day. However, the time can be flexible depending on what works best with a patient’s needs.

Treatment Offered at Our Mental Health Facility in NJ

We offer a range of services at our mental health facility in NJ to address mental illnesses and the underlying issues that contribute to mental illness. Our team of qualified psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and counselors work together to create an individualized treatment plan for each patient. Some of the services we provide include:

  • TMS Therapy
  • Medication Management
  • Individual Therapy
  • Group Therapy
  • Family Therapy & Couples Counseling
  • Co-Occurring Disorder Treatment

Transcranial magnetic stimulation is a form of therapy that utilizes magnetic fields to stimulate nerves in the brain to help improve symptoms of depression. During a TMS session, an electromagnetic coil is placed on your scalp. The electromagnet stimulates the nerves in your brain that are responsible for depression and overall mood control.

There are few different ways to execute this procedure, and they may change depending on the individual. However, TMS is always noninvasive, painless, and does not require sedatives.

Everyone with a mental health disorder requires different approaches to their treatment. For some patients, this means medication management. Through this type of intervention, we provide our patients with access to medications used to treat specific mental health ailments.

Medication may be necessary for patients who experience debilitating symptoms of their mental illness. For some patients, the presence of medication can help propel them forward in their treatment. For others, they will require a more comprehensive approach including medications and therapy. The treatment professionals at our mental health facility in NJ will be able to determine if you require medication to help manage your mental health disorder.

Individual therapy sessions are one-on-one sessions between a patient and a therapist. During these sessions, the therapist will help the patient to understand the symptoms of their mental health condition or behaviors that are causing them distress. Additionally, they may work with the patient to overcome fears or barriers that are preventing them from functioning in their daily lives.

Group therapy for mental health treatment allows patients to attend therapy sessions, at our mental health facility in NJ, with a group of individuals who are also undergoing treatment. Moreover, many people who have undergone group therapy appreciate the opportunity to connect with others who are experiencing the same symptoms or behavioral problems. The group will meet with the therapist regularly to discuss concerns and issues related to mental health.

Through family and couples therapy, patients can improve their relationships with loved ones who are having difficulty understanding or supporting them through mental health treatment. The patient’s family can attend sessions at our mental health facility in NJ, where they are educated on the patient’s particular mental disorder. During sessions, the patient will have the opportunity to talk about how their mental illness affects them. On the other hand, the family will also be able to discuss with the patient how they are affected by the patient’s behavior or symptoms.

Many individuals who have a mental disorder suffer from two disorders at once. For these people, both conditions need to be treated simultaneously. At Renewed Light, we structure care around the needs of our patients. If a patient has two disorders, we will create a treatment plan, at our mental health facility in NJ, that treats both disorders at the same time.
